Heath Johnson is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Besides teaching English, creative writing, theatre, speech, debate, journalism, photojournalism, and broadcast journalism for many years in the public schools of Texas, he is a member of the Writers’ League of Texas, the Keller Writers Association, and has worked as a freelance writer for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, been a bricklayer’s helper, busboy, hospital orderly, limousine chauffeur, emergency services dispatcher, professional scenic carpenter, performer with Houston Grand Opera, EMT, small business owner, collectible and first editions book dealer, and repossessor of mobile homes. Dividing his time between teaching and writing, he travels, reads, and bicycles on-road and off. He lives in Texas with his family.
