I was born October 4, 1971 in Hampton, Virginia where I lived for many years until relocating to the Metro-Atlanta area. I am the proud father of three children and I’m currently employed full time @10DeGrez Records Music and books are two of the influential things in my life, so it only made sense for me to combine the two. In keeping with my entrepreneur spirit, I self-publish my debut novel, Play Your Position Krete. Growing up in my house, music served as an alarm clock on Saturday mornings. My mother used music to beckon my brothers and me out of our beds to get up and start on our weekend chores. After that, for the rest of the day until the street lights came on, I was outside with my friends walking in circles throughout our neighborhood blasting the latest rap artist to emerge on the scene. At that time, rap music was at its rawest state and most influential. I’ve been on a musical mission ever since to create a platform of my own. Summer of ’93, I was an intern at WCMS, which at the time was the longest running Country music station. In 1996, I was contracted by KHR Promotions, a company based out Raleigh, N.C., to collaborate with other area radio stations over a two-year span appealing to a vast audience. I received my FCC license in 1992 while working at Willis Broadcasting training directly under the program director. Although, the industry is forever changing I strive to stay current and as well as committed to reaching my goal of owning my own independent music label. Visit www.playyourpositionkrete.net.com
