Rev. G. Terry Steenburg was born in Endicott, NY (1945), and was raised in Vestal, NY. He graduated from Texas Christian University (1967) and from The Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (1972). He has served the Lord in a variety of Pastoral roles, as the Executive Director of a Rescue Mission, as a Broadcaster, and as an Evangelist. After living and Ministering in the Greater Philadelphia, PA, area for 36 years, he moved to Owego, NY, in November 2003, to begin his Pastorate of The Historic First Baptist Church Of Owego - a Church that was established in 1831. He left that position in January 2015 and Pastored The Historic Central Baptist Church Of Greene, NY, from January 2016 through December 2017. He continues to serve the Lord with his non-profit, He’s Alive! Ministries, as a Missionary-Evangelist. He has local recognition as a servant and leader in his community and is striving for ’unity and Prayerfulness in the Body of Christ.’ He’s the former Missions Chair of The Broome-Tioga Baptist Association and the past President of The Owego Rotary Club. He has 3 grown children and 1 grown step-child (all married) and fourteen grandchildren - for now! [April 01, 2018]
