"You got it bad, bro," Akeel said, chuckling at his friend's bewilderment.

"Why don't you make your intentions known?"

Ali looked down at his feet, embarrassed by Akeel's loud teasing and ashamed of what he was going to say next.

"I am pretty sure she hates me."

Ali is third-generation Arab American. His family is the embodiment of the American dream. Growing up as the eldest son of a well-to-do family, the trajectory of his life has been laid out before him since birth and he has no intentions of rocking the boat. All of that changes the day a feisty thief in a face veil shows him that there is more to life than the road he has known. Fate keeps bringing them together and pulling him towards a life, love and faith deeper than he has ever known. But is she willing to let him into her world?
