            Charlie Chavez begins his 8th grade at St. Declan’s School intending to coast through the year without causing mayhem.  On the first day he meets his homeroom teacher, a mad Irish nun notorious for outrageous corporal punishment.  Sister Mary Bartholomew has heard of Charlie’s reputation as a ‘troublemaker’ and lies in wait for him. 

When Charlie conspires with two of his brightest classmates—Nicole Lamborghini and Taylor Heimlich—the three form a Troika to have Black Bart institutionalized before Christmas.
