The author is a former Miss Black Kansas, gospel artist, song writer, performer and musician. She has sang with some of the world’s greatest musicians while also performing in several stageplays, host of a local television show, and performances on BET’s Bobby Jones Gospel. With several recordings to her credit, she is now embarking into the realms of writing and literature. The backdrop for her story has many facets. One of them is the Civil Rights movement.The main character in this book was born just before the Civil Rights Bill was passed and a lot of the old order was still in play as she grew. The main character was the youngest in her family for the longest time, and she was blessed early on with a unique musical talent that set her apart and gave her special treatment.
