Jape Payette, Biography Cape Ann Massachusetts based Jape Payette is a drama teacher, director, and personal acting coach. Jape has been acting for over thirty years, including stage, voice-overs, story-telling, commercials, TV, film, and radio. Jape was co-director of Narnia the Musical in which he starred as Aslan with the Theatre of Light. Some other favorite roles were Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace, Sir Justice Lawrence Wargrave in Ten Little Indians and Stan in Broadway Bound, which were performed at The Firehouse Center for the Arts. Jape has been in countless other productions spanning over 30 years. Through Jape’s entertainment company, JapeScape Productions, he offers acting classes such as the popular Acting for YoungSTARS Drama Club, whose program has been used in many public and private schools, libraries, summer camps and other venues all over the North Shore and Boston areas. His mission is to provide an education that builds confidence, stage and speaking skills, originality, courage, creative expression, healthy interactions, and team spirit. His classes meet state Theatre Curriculum and Standards. Jape also offers private acting lessons, adult classes, birthday entertainment, play directing, and team building. Jape has written, produced, directed and acted in his own CMI: Comedy Mystery Interactive, a live comedy mystery dinner theater show for adults that features top area actors. CMI can be performed at a variety of venues as a public or private show. Jape is also a published author of the children’s adventure series, Jape the Grape Ape from Outer Space.
