Debbie Williams is a new author on the literary scene. She resides with her husband near the small rural community of Hillsboro, in southwestern Ohio. When she was very young she came down with a case of the mumps. Her mother brought her a stack of books from the library to keep her occupied during her confinement. From that time on she became an avid reader. She says that she never wanted the stories to end and was always continuing the stories in her head. In 1981 she graduated from Morehead State University with an elementary teaching degree. Although her love of reading continued, she was not particularly fond of teaching the subject, because it came so easy to her. Her favorite subject to teach was math, because she struggled in school with it and understood the problems of it. After retiring from 32 years of teaching elementary school she has begun to pursue her dream of becoming a published author. She likes to create characters that her readers become totally involved in and want to root for to the end of the story. She also likes to create situations where her characters not only find romance, but become involved with obstacles which they need to overcome in order to find the happiness they are looking for. The situations often involve some mystery and suspense. She believes every good book deserves to go on, so she plans to create some series of books. Her books also often involve small children that she often models after some of her more memorable students. Debbie and her husband Jerry have three children and four grandchildren. Together they enjoy spending time with family, traveling and are avid baseball fans.
