Ross West has had a varied career in publishing, writing, and preaching. A friend once asked him how many careers he had had anyway. To Ross, it seems like one, but he can understand how others see more than one. He has served churches in New York, Kentucky, Arkansas, Virginia, Louisiana, and Georgia. He also has been involved in a ministry of writing and publishing in both secular and religious venues. Through his career in publishing, he has led in producing hundreds of Bible studies and has written numerous articles, Bible studies, and sermons. His most recent place of ministry was as publisher of BaptistWay Press(R) in Dallas, Texas. Prior to that he served as an editor and then manager of an adult Sunday School editorial section at the Baptist Sunday School Board, Nashville, Tennessee, and as director of Creative Services for the national organization of the Boy Scouts of America. For a number of years, he has had his own writing and publishing consulting business, Positive Difference Communications. In addition to this book, Ross is the author of How to Be Happier in the Job You Sometimes Can’t Stand; Seven Words to Live By; The Christmas to Remember; Living in the Meanwhile; and Go to Work and Take Your Faith Too! He is co-author of another (Teaching Adults the Bible, out of print). Among his published writing, he has had sermons published in three annual editions of The Abingdon Preaching Annual. Ross served for ten years on the Committee on the Uniform Series, the interdenominational group that plans the International Sunday School Lesson Series under the auspices of the National Council of Churches. He is a member of the Commission on Education/Nurture for the Baptist World Alliance. His seminary education includes the degree of Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Studies, focused on studies in the Greek New Testament
