Elisabetta Flumeri and Gabriella Giacometti have been working together for decades as a creative couple. Based in Rome, they started out as authors of Italian romantic photo love-stories and of magazines/fanzines for girls. From there, they moved on to work with the Italian national public broadcasting company, RAI, where they collaborated on a variety of programs and long-running series of various genres, including sentimental comedy and costume, legal, and medical drama. Their debut as book authors dates back to the late 1980s with a series of "How To" guides published by one of Italy’s largest publishing houses. Through the years, the name Flumeri & Giacometti has become well-known in contemporary romance, television fiction, and editing. They also offer creative writing courses for aspiring writers, and teachers and students in Italian schools with the hope of helping to shape future authors. In September 2013 they co-founded the European Writing Women Association (EWWA) for women of any age who revolve around the written word-authors, editors, translators, cover artists, bloggers, and those who aspire to publishing professions. The aim of the association is to promote networking and provide opportunities for creativity, exchange, and professional growth. In Italy, titles authored by Flumeri & Giacometti have been published by Emma Books and Sperling & Kupfer, and rights to their ’L’amore è un bacio di dama’ have been sold in the USA, Spain, Germany, France, Poland, Israel and Bulgaria.
