Katherine Pathak was born in Inverness, Scotland in 1974. She subsequently spent her childhood in the south-east of England. Katherine began writing full-time in 2013 after a decade as a History Teacher. She currently writes the Imogen and Hugh Croft Mysteries Series and the DCI Dani Bevan series of police prodecurals.
