Onyx Rainwater is sixteen when he sees the Stone Witch in the forest on Big Cabin nature reserve in Oklahoma. Once married to a Viking king, this powerful sorceress created the Stone Men, an army of the undead, waiting to attack if any rivals cross her boundary. Soon, the residents of Big Cabin start turning up dead, murdered in vicious Viking ways. Onyx knows the only one who can help is Ivy, a mysterious girl with strange powers and a troubled past.
