All the Dear Beasties

Jenny Kalahar lives in an old schoolhouse full of books with her husband, Patrick, six cats, and a terrier. She is the author of four previous books. Shelve Under C: A Tale of Used Books and Cats, and The Find of a Lifetime, its sequel. This Peculiar Magic is her fantasy set in central Indiana in an academy for teens with the worst-ever magical power. One Mile North of Normal is a collection of her nostalgic, funny and heartwarming poetry. Jenny is on the executive board of the Poetry Society of Indiana, and she helms a poetry-writing group. She is the humor columnist for Tails Magazine. She plays percussion in a community band, and is a used & rare bookseller. She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize in poetry, and has plans to organize a state youth poetry association.
