Lisa Marie Mathieson is passionate about sharing hope, encouragement and inspiration in everything she does. Lisa Marie’s first book Daughter of the King was published in January 2016 and encourages women to find their true worth in Christ Jesus. She is a self-taught artist, and began ’doodling’ when she was a missionary in Uganda, East Africa. However, most of her creativity has been channelled at helping women and girls who have been victims of domestic and sexual violence in Uganda and in the UK. Lisa is a story-teller at heart and attributes her early doodles to her creative side and as a stress reliever. She uses her writings and art to share words of love, hope, and encouragement to others around her. She is a mother of a fabulous daughter whom she is in the process of adopting from Uganda, an ordained Bishop, Preacher, Teacher and Counsellor her time is stretched. Nevertheless, Lisa Marie works diligently counselling and advocating for the rights of women and girls who have been sexually exploited. Her greatest desire is to continue to assist women and girls and to use art and creative expression as a pathway of therapeutic healing along the word of God. Lisa Marie is still very new to the artistic scene but she plans on expanding her portfolio and is currently finishing her next Devotional Adult Colouring Book entitled The Fragrance of Christ (be sure to watch out for it ...coming soon!)
