Shirley Haycock is a native of Utah, but has lived many places in the U.S. and recently spent two years in New Zealand. She is a graduate of BYU and has been telling stories since she was thirteen. She didn’t start writing until she got over a mental block started by a high school English teacher who flunked her. Her motto has been ’I’m too busy living life to write’. Now in her slower years, she has unlimited stories to form books. Her well of living includes an 800 mile walk with her two sons and a trip on the Atlantic in a canoe.
