Christopher McCarthy was born and raised in the Bronx-bred to be the biggest Yankee fan on the planet. Fighting against the grain of his working-class family's proud influence, he became a lawyer and moved to Boston for his dream job. What he ended up finding, was his dream girl. Angela Bambino, a struggling ER Nurse, was born and raised in Boston-bred to be the biggest Red Sox fan on the planet. Despite the mounting list of reasons why they could never work romantically, Chris and Angela find they have two very important things in common: their love of a historic American pastime and their legitimately insane families. Believing they have what it takes to overcome their bitter fandoms, clashing careers, and dysfunctional families, the couple embark on the relationship of a lifetime, eventually leading to their announcement to all of their intention to marry. After months of fending off resistance, sports rage, and jealousy from family, coworkers, and friends, the exhausted couple's love is nearly destroyed. On the eve of their wedding, Chris and Angela's selfish families once again try tearing the couple apart with everything they've got, when a miracle occurs, leaving both sides of the rivalry in utter disbelief, though united, in an unforgettable moment time itself couldn't rival.
