Though the collapse of America's financial system has left much of the country in chaos, Oklahoma City's Garden District has managed to hold together. Craig Harper and his neighbors have joined forces to guard their borders and grow the food they now need to survive. But not all neighborhoods have fared as well. When refugees from a nearby forced-labor camp start streaming into the Garden District, Craig realizes that they must fight more than simple starvation and disease. It seems a self-appointed dictator has set his sights on the District's rich soil and priceless seed bank. And dictators never ask nicely...
