The Midwife Book 3 RUMORS is the third of a The Midwife Series Books. Narcisia Gonz lez's birth in the presence of a stork caused the old midwife, Do a Victoria's unexplained weird conduct toward the entire Gonz lez family. It didn't go unnoticed by the citizenry of Loma Parda. They loved to talk about Do a and they loved to talk about Narcisia. When Mam laughingly shared with her friends that Narcisia predicted the birth of her sister, Cynthia, it didn't sound like a laughing matter to eavesdroppers. The rumormongers concluded that Narcisia had the gift of intuition. Some people, including the family's most intimate friends wanted their future revealed. At times, Narcisia's willingness to oblige annoyed her parents. That gift irritated some, including Do a. They feared that Narcisia could delve into their own veiled past and they coward from knowledge of gloom in the future or just around the next corner. They feared Narcisia but reacted toward Do a Victoria more suspiciously. Rumor had it that she was a witch. Although the midwife helped birth most of the children in Loma Parda, they blamed her for all things unexplained tragedies from disappearances to murder. In this book Narcisia and her sibling's grew from childhood into adulthood and things come to light in unexpected ways.

VG Gonzalez grew up in a small town in New Mexico where she listened to adults tell tales. They claimed the stories were true. Her imagination went wild and characters developed from those stories. VG Gonzalez is alleged to know one or two of those characters in the accounts. The stories in THE MIDWIFE SERIES BOOKS are based on those true events; that’s the story and she’s sticking to it.
