As winter begins to fall in one sleepy Pennsylvania town, puzzling events unfold. Though the lakefront views of Nautical Cove seem picturesque, its beauty hides a deep layer of secrets. And someone is digging for the truth.

Investigative journalist Stephen Princeton arrives in Nautical Cove to salvage what is left of his life and career. Not one to stay idle, he begins stirring up trouble when a recent cold case catches his eye. The missing-person investigation of Mary Caifano, a popular high schooler, doesn’t add up. Even though local police have labeled her a runaway, Princeton is determined to uncover what really happened. Beautiful and ambitious, the young student just doesn’t fit the profile of runaway. But he’s about to discover that everyone has a dark side.

Princeton finds himself slipping into an unseen world of crime to confront political corruption and human trafficking. An entirely new side of Nautical Cove emerges with evil no one could have foreseen, and an unknown force is working against Princeton. But the question remains, what exactly happened to Mary? To find out, this determined journalist will have to put himself at risk, with no guarantees of dispensing justice...let alone making it out alive.

Nathan DiLeo was born in western Pennsylvania but has lived in numerous cities across the United States. Nautical Cove is his first mystery novel. He holds degrees in criminal justice, English, and graphic design. DiLeo currently lives in Pennsylvania.
