Clarence Robert (Bob) Tower is a man of many accomplishments: self-taught artist, author, historian, a lifelong resident of Santa Clara, in California’s Silicon Valley. His career as Civil Engineer (creating drawings, maps, etc.) taught him skills needed to do pen-and-ink drawings of historical buildings, landmarks, etc. Some of his artwork has been exhibited at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, California, the city he calls "home." He designed the City’s Bicentennial Medallion and is a holder of the Grumbacher Medallion, awarded for painting excellence. Other books by this author include "Seventy Years in the Silicon Valley (An Anecdotal History)" "The Adventures of Zack Gentry (A Tongue-in-Cheek History of the Opening of the West)" and "The Life of a Teddy Bear Family"-a children’s book, all of which showcase his artwork.
