Scott Craven has been a newspaper reporter for more than three decades, specializing in the stories of fascinating people. He’s spent the last thirty years at The Arizona Republic, constantly searching for tales to tell. The "Dead Jed" trilogy is the Tempe, Arizona resident’s first stab (so to speak) at fiction. It combines his love of horror stories with his quirky brand of humor. It also includes several autobiographical elements, so the books also serve as a bit of revenge against those who bullied him when he was a five-foot-nothing student in middle school. Not that he holds a grudge. Craven has a 22-year-old son Bryson who is majoring in business marketing at Arizona State University. He’s accompanied in life by his beautiful girlfriend Melissa, and at times by his rather aloof dog Sandy.
