Yu Jie is a well-known dissident from China. Writing is both Yu Jie’s profession and his calling. He has authored over 90 books--totaling 15 million Chinese characters--across a wide range of subjects. His mission is to wield the power of words against Marxist-Leninist-Maoist-Xiist totalitarianism and to challenge Western leftist ideology, while advancing American conservative political philosophy within the Chinese-speaking world. Now based in the D.C. area, he founded the Asia-Pacific Institute for Religious Freedom and Democratization. In 2018, he became a U.S. citizen.
