E.M. Shue is a self-published author across most platforms and in paperback. E.M. took her passion for reading and turned it into a story. The Securities International series was started with a dream, she woke up one morning and knew that she needed to explore the dream. After lots of hounding from her husband, she put to paper her thoughts. Sniper’s Kiss came from that dream, but a story that is still guiding her continues. E.M. is a part of several writing groups online and locally. She believes in supporting young writers and tries to participate in NaNoWriMo and Camp NaNo when she’s able to. E.M. has an extensive history of different jobs and careers which she brings to her writing giving it a more authentic feel from medical, fire and rescue to travel and sales. The research has become one of her favorite parts of the preparation of writing. She wants her readers to feel immersed in the world around them and to understand every piece of equipment used. E.M. has lived in Alaska most of her life and counts it as her home even though she was born in South West Michigan. She counts herself a Red Wings fan and adores all things hockey. Her house is always full of activity from either her fun-loving truck driver husband, her two daughters that still live at home, her oldest daughter and husband, her three wild dogs and all the extra add-ons that come to hang out or just stop by. Her table is always opened to the stray kids that call her mom, and her middle daughter has usually cooked up something yummy. The family loves to just jump in the car and take the six-hour drive to Fairbanks to visit friends and relatives or the drive south to explore the coastal communities. Currently, E.M. works part-time and writes full time. Trying to spend time with her youngest who is still in high school and wants to be a writer too or her middle daughter that struggles with many medical conditions. She is working on more Securities International stories. Friends become family in this crazy world of the Shue’s.
