Writing My ShortsByBen SteinlageAs the author of a number of novels I found myself with a suggestion of putting together some of my short stories. I don’t know why but at first I rejected the idea. Though those that had read some of them found them to be enjoyable, I didn’t like just putting them out to you the reader in the normal fashion. Though the way that most of them are presented seem to work out great for travelers, I wanted to do something different. After some thought, I came up with an idea that intrigued me. You the reader will be the judge of my idea being worthwhile or not.What I did was to bury thirty short stories into a novella. The basis of the book revolves around a writer and different things going on in his life. Then the short stories embedded into it are all different. I have an avid reader friend who found this to be one of the most interesting things; they have read. I hope you enjoy this as much as my friend did.

Author Ben Steinlage: Though born in California, he now lives in New Mexico with his wife. He is a father of six children, seven grand-children. Professionally he was a consultant in the printing industry. Now that he is retired, he spends a good part of his time writing, and helping other writers. In helping others, he’s extended his talents to designs book covers and laying books out so that they can be published. As to his writing, it all began more than fifty some years ago as a hobby. This past time has led him to become a published writer. As a writer he likes challenges, which means he writes in a variety of genres. To date, he has written (though not all published) better than thirty stores of historical fiction, murder mysteries, to fantasy. It wasn’t until 2007 that his wife decided it was time to share his works with the world that he became a published author. To his surprise, he found that others enjoyed his stories as much as his family. In offering this story to the many readers out in the world, he hopes this story will be as enjoyable as his past stories.
