Michael K. Pomphrey is a filmmaker, photographer, designer, and educator. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Rehabilitative Services and a Master degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, both from the University of Northern Colorado. After serving in many capacities within the mental health and disability services field, Michael began spending his free time taking classes at the Colorado Film School. His true passion for film, photography and writing led him to complete a Fellowship at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. Upon receipt of a Masters of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from AFI, Michael ultimately found himself in Chicago, where he re-connected with his now wife and worked at Columbia College Chicago. It was during his first two years in Chicago that Michael completed The Experience Project: Chicago. Michael and his wife Katie currently live in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he completed The Experience Project: Colorado Springs. His most recent photography book, Boarding Concepts: finding the art, explores the artistic side of skateboarding and snowboarding.
