Crucifixion-Resurrection

Sir Edwyn Hoskyns (1884-1937) and Noel Davey (1904-73) were both priests of the Church of England and Fellows of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. They were joint authors of ’The Riddle of the New Testament’ (1931), and Davey edited and completed Hoskyns’ posthumous ’The Fourth Gospel’ (1940). In 1944, Davey joined SPCK as Editorial Secretary and in 1955 became Director of the Society, retiring in 1970.
