Farwell (Munk School of Global Affairs, U. of Toronto, Canada) explores the recent political history of Pakistan through an exploration of the careers of three key figures: A. Q. Khan, the nuclear scientist found to be involved in a massive nuclear proliferation ring; Benazir Bhutto, the former Prime Minister assassinated in 2007 as she campaigned for re-election; and General Pervez Musharraf, President of Pakistan (after taking power in a military coup) until forced to resign under threat of impeachment in 2008. He has chosen strategic communication as the analytical lens through which to explore how these three figures navigated the turbulent waters of Pakistani politics. Distributed by Books International.
