The Pumpkin Gift

First in the new "Growing Up Quentin Fischer" series, "The Pumpkin Gift" is a charmingly illustrated lesson book. The series is based on the life of Quentin Fischer, a red haired, freckle faced third-grader from a loving but modest incomed family.

 The author, Ginger Hollis uses the circumstances facing Quentin to speak to other young boys and girls about contemporary and often difficult situations. The outcome each time is warm and affirming and calls upon the best in each of us to meet the obstacle.

 In "The Pumpkin Gift," Quinten Fischer is very upset when Miss Truelove, his 3rd grade teacher, announces the details of their fall "class project."
