Philip L. Steers, Jr, Philip L Steers, III, and Philip L. Steers, IV all Certified Public Accountants examined the Gospel of John from an Auditor’s point of view. Philip, Jr served during Word War II in Africa and Europe and then in the U.S. Military Government in Germany. Later he was Financial Vice President of the Panama Canal Company and the Canal Zone Government for over 20 years. He received the Lord Jesus at the Balboa Stadium in the Panama Canal Zone during a Word of Life Rally. The next day his six years old Philip III followed his father’s example. Philip III conducted Bible Studies while he was a student at the University of Illinois. He worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. Later with his wife and three children had a most unusual way of serving our Lord Jesus in Muslim Saudi Arabia. Phillip III was employed for more than 24 years as Senior Audit Manager and Senior Accounting Consul with the Saudi ARAMCO Company. Philip IV became a believer as a young boy. His father showed him his grandfather’s study in the Gospel of John when he was in high school. Philip IV has his MBA from LeTourneau University and Baylor University and is also a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. He is Director of Finance for the Housing Authority of the City of Yuma. It is now his responsibility to carry on the teaching of Christian Financial Principles. Father and sons audit-tested the Gospel of John and they discovered that Thomas is the Auditor who actually did the key audit-test of Jesus’ bodily resurrection. "Doubting Thomas" is the one who actually touched the risen Lord with his hands and fell to his knees confessing: "My Lord and my God." [John 20: 28]
