Brenda Bennett is the writer and photographer behind SugarFreemom.com, a low-carb, allergy-friendly food blog that focuses on fresh whole-food recipes that are free of grains, gluten, and sugar. She launched the blog in 2011 as a place for her family and friends to easily find her creative recipes, and it quickly became a leading source of tried-and-true low-carb versions of high-carb favorites.

With a master’s degree in special education and having taught school for 19 years, Brenda has always wanted to help people in need. She overcame her own sugar addiction in 2006, and her mission is to show others that a sugar-free lifestyle can be sustainable, enjoyable, and without deprivation. She has created multiple online courses to help her audience achieve freedom from sugar and carb cravings and lose the weight they want to lose.
