The Tagalongs

The Tagalongs is a visually-driven picture book that takes young readers on a whimsical journey through the forest, subtly exploring themes of solitude, friendship, and personal growth.

The Tagalongs tells the fun and whimsical story of Julia’s unexpected adventure on a hike to Pancake Peak. As Julia meets, and avoids, and ultimately teams up with an unusual pack of animal friends, the book explores themes of independence, self-reliance, and the enjoyment of the great outdoors. It also highlights the value of diverse strengths, helping strangers, sharing what we have, and including others.

Megan Marie Myers is a painter and illustrator who strives to connect people to nature through her art. Megan also creates greeting cards, fine art prints, stickers, puzzles, board games, and calendars, that she sells in her Etsy shop and FAIRE. Her clients include Hydro Flask, Vooks, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Seattle University, and Sunriver Resort.
