Occupational and Environmental Medicine

The field of medicine which deals with the maintenance of health in the workplace is known as occupational medicine. It aims at preventing and treating the injuries and diseases in one’s workplace along with the maintenance and increase in the productivity and social adjustment. Environmental medicine is a sub-field of environmental health. It includes the study of the interactions between the environment and human health. It also studies the role of environment in causing illnesses in humans.
