The poetry anthology Contemporary Challenges will expose psycho-social trials in communities with serious challenges. These poems expose real-life problems in parts of Zimbabwe, Africa, and possible ways of overcoming them.
Poems about gender-based violence entail categories, perpetrators, issues, and effects of this violence, as well as preventing, dealing, or overcoming such violence. Poems about drug and substance abuse include forms and causes of drug and substance abuse, as well as ways of curbing, avoiding, or overcoming drug and substance abuse.
Poetry about various forms of abuse deal with girls and sexual abuse, child sexual abuse and neglect, and abuse in religious situations, as well as perpetrators, effects, and overcoming child abuse. Poems on community psycho-social challenges encompass social challenges, community challenges including crimes, criminal activities, transport challenges, power cuts, mining, cyclones, inhuman treatment, and parents crying out for help.
Kundisai Mudita is a lecturer at Great Zimbabwe University, under the School of Heritage and Education, Department of Inclusive and Special Needs Education. The author has written eight books.
