Wendy Murray, author of A Mended and a Broken Heart and Clare of Assisi, Gentle Warrior, spent nearly five years researching Saint Francis and Saint Clare, including time in Assisi, Italy. An award-winning writer, scholar, and journalist, she has contributed to Time, Christianity Today, and The Christian Century. She holds degrees from Hiram College and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Murray has served as writer-in-residence at Gordon College and is currently Associate Director of Accreditation and Communications at Gordon-Conwell, where she edits Ex Fonte magazine. Her books explore faith, history, and spirituality through both journalistic inquiry and theological reflection.
