Mobile, Alabama native author La Jill Hunt’s writing career started as a stress reliever while working as a bill collector for a telephone company. Then, boredom kicked in around age 30 and pushed her into writing for the purpose of entertaining her coworkers. This was her first step toward becoming a published author.

In 2003, La Jill tucked her pride, ignored her fears, and stepped out on faith. She allowed God to open a door that would walk her into an instant hit and Essence Bestseller, Drama Queen.
