Cooking with chef keep it real was inspired by God and my wife of 30 + years. She would edge me on to be creative when it came to making certain everyday dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When taking a creative approach to cooking we make it fun and enjoyable for all that’s involved, even our children enjoy making and creating they’re on special dishes like hells fire hot buffalo wings, and twang chicken just to name a few. God has connected our family together like never through something as simple as cooking. Dwayne Houston was born in Detroit Michigan and came from a family of seven siblings. Being able to cook was a must in their household. Each of the brothers and sisters had to learn to fend for themselves. Dwayne can remember every thanksgiving all 8 of them would have to learn how to cook a dish. His mother would stand around telling each one of them what ingredients to add to each item that was being cooked. Dwayne got married in 1988 at the age of twenty-six to his wife of 33 years and started a family of his own and began passing down recipes to children. This book is inspired by his wife and children after seeing how passionate he was about cooking.
