The story opens just before the Mega Quake that has been forecasted for years in Los Angeles. It centers around Lexi and her brother Teddy as they try to get to their grandmother; and the challenges they have after the quake takes their immediate family. Through their hardships and triumphs they find that God has not left them and they gain a stronger relationship with him, as they find new friends and family they didn’t know about along the way. My name is Carolyn Ernest. I was born and raised in Culver City and Hollywood Hills and North Hollywood. I was living in Tujunga when the Selmar quake happened. I left the area in 1985 and then answered God’s call to become a nurse and have been caring for people for the last 33 years, but I still remember the way my house moved and the destruction from that quake vividly that along with a dream I had (sent: I feel, from God) is why I wrote this book. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to classic Hymns and painting. I love animals and have four dogs and a 21-year-old cat.
