My Father’s Secret

Sarah’s father was mean and hateful. So hateful that her mother had left when Sarah was twelve years old and Sarah had never seen her again. When he died, someone suddenly began calling her demanding a key. She had no idea who the caller was or what key they were talking about. She searched and finally found a key that had been hidden for years. The caller told Sarah that he had her friend held hostage so she gave the key to the caller in order to save her friends life. It turns out to be the wrong key and now they are threatening Sarah’s life if she doesn’t give them the correct key. Sarah has to begin her search all over again. The police are involved but still, the caller manages to kidnap Sarah and threaten her. The kidnapper locks her in a basement that is so hidden that no one even knows about it. She is locked in with no way out. How long will she be there before the police find her. IF they find her. Sarah tries to maintain hope as more and more days pass slowly. Very very slowly, all the while wondering if she will live or if she will die in this lonely isolated place where she may never be found
