The Best School Christmas Float Ever: A Christmas Fantasy

Failure is expected when a group of eight, mixed-education level, middle and high school students, including a transgender girl and the school's most trouble-making special education student, are voted by their peers to build the school's Christmas float over a three-day period following their school's holiday pep rally before Christmas Break. The town's big Christmas Parade is only four days away, and time is short. The float's theme is diversity, and the students elected to build the float are as diverse as their ideas in construction and design. A surprise visit by Santa's representatives finds the group flying to the North Pole in a magical flying truck, meeting Santa, and helping him educate new elves as the big deadline approaches. Lessons in leadership, diversity, inclusion, and learning to reject negative comments help the team achieve their goal despite unexpected setbacks.

Robin St. Taw was born and raised in New York City. His early travels found him living in England for several years, where he traveled around Europe as far as, ＂no money＂ would take him before returning to the U.S. St. Taw’s first novel, ’Incident at Latitude 25 North’, was nominated for the Shark Research Foundation’s ’Peter Benchley Shark Conservation Award’, in 2007. His follow-up collection of stories, ’Other Voices in the Rooms; Stories in Two Suites’, began St. Taw’s evolutionary writing process, where he began to focus on the complexities, humor, and shared experiences of human relationships. Following an educational hiatus, Robin St. Taw has returned to writing, his passion, where diversity forms a central theme, and LGBT characters are both central and pivotal. St. Taw has worked in the health care industry, as well as a product development scientist, and educator. He holds five college and university degrees, including a post-graduate degree in brain research. He is also a paralegal. He has been a beach-bum surfer, is an avid gardener, and a self-proclaimed, ＂pretty good＂ chef. Robin St. Taw currently lives in the U.S., and is actively writing his newest intriguing novel.
