Jeremy A. Martin was born in Hershey, Pennsylvania (Chocolatetown, U.S.A.), and lived in nearby Palmyra until he was eighteen. After graduating from high school, he moved to Galesburg, Illinois, to attend Knox College for his Bachelor of Arts in English, then continued his studies at Eastern Washington University in Spokane, Washington, to receive his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. In addition, he has served in Literacy AmeriCorps Pittsburgh, worked at Barnes & Noble and Half Price Books, and taught English at Harrisburg Area Community College and York College. He now lives with his wife, Megan, and son, Emery, in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he has been teaching composition and creative writing at Coconino Community College since 2009. His hobbies include reading, hiking, traveling, and mixing and listening to music. Like a Lover Never Leaving is his first prose book, trailing his debut poetry chapbook entitled Catalyst, published by Liquid Light Press in 2012. Currently, he is working on two other poetry books, Cardiac Orchestra and Ecstatic Electricity, and A Quiet Revolution of the Heart, a collection of reflections inspired by the characters and ideas in this novella.
