There Are No Fridays is Book One of a trilogy following the lives of a retired couple who want to reconnect with the people they used to be. To gather up the pieces of their lives before the responsibilities of children and career and to travel at will without the restrictions of time. They set off from England to explore North America and quickly discover that nothing is predictable.

Penny Astley has always been an avid reader but had become increasingly aware that many books are aimed at middle aged readers or younger. She decided to write a novel that highlighted the joys of growing older and to show that age does not mean an end to adventure or passion. She has also endeavoured to keep her characters real and believable.
