Doris Oberstein is the author of the novel, Riptide, and is a member of WNBA, the Women’s National Book Association, and SCBWI, the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She has written three novels and two plays. Doris taught elementary education for twenty-six years while earning two Masters of Education degrees and training student teachers for four universities in Connecticut. She was listed in the 1975 edition of Outstanding Elementary Teachers of America. As a retiree, Doris became an adjunct professor for the University of Nevada Las Vegas College of Education and also facilitated literature for EXCELL, the Learning in Retirement Group in the UNLV College of Continuing Education. Currently, Doris gives fascinating lectures on Greek Mythology and is completing a book for Young Adults: Amusing Tales in Greek Mythology. What does she do in her spare time?
