Stefan Burnley was born in Cambridgeshire in 1967. After completing a degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics at the University of Essex, he taught English in Andalucia for two years, before embarking on a career as an international hotel contractor for several travel companies. Having written for his own enjoyment for many years, he completed a Certificate in Creative Writing from the University of Cambridge (ICE) in 2017. He has written two novels and is currently working on a third. His literary heroes include Paul Auster, Alan Hollinghurst, Anita Brookner and Margaret Atwood. His own writing is driven by the desire to tell compelling stories in an elegant, accessible style. He lives and works in Cambridge.
