Stephane Faucourt and Yann Leroux are from the first generation of Star Wars fans that grew up in France in the 1970s. They have been collecting Star Wars toys and memorabilia since nearly two decades. They have been collaborating for a long time on books for fans and collectors, conferences, events and related goodies... Stephane Faucourt collects vintage toys from the French Meccano licensee; he has assembled one of European’s largest Collection of French toys and documents covering the era from 1977 to 1986. He has published several books: "From Meccano to Trilogo" (2006) which revealed the French series to the collecting community, "La French Touch" (2013/2016) featuring the entire range of merchandise and documents released in France during the classic Trilogy era. He also co-authored the first official book published in France with domestic content "La Guerre des Etoiles - Star Wars vue de France" in 2015, and more recently, books in collaboration with other fans and long-time collecting pals: "Meccano Trilogo collectors’ handbook" (2016) a great tool for collectors; and this latest book "40 years of French Culture." Stephane also contributes on promoting French collectibles and their history through various websites, conferences and collecting panels at various events, Star Wars gatherings, and official Star Wars Celebrations. Yann Leroux collects vintage toys as well as prop replicas and other modern collectibles... As an art director and graphic designer, he worked on the French Episode I marketing campaign, contributed in official events such as the "Midnight Madness," and many other Star Wars non-toys related marketing plans. He was also an active member of the Mintinbox.net team during several years, editing articles, traveling around and meeting new people to cover events and interviews. Yann has been designing the books covers and visual style, as well as all related promotional artworks and giveaways. Their latest cooperation celebrates the four decades of French Star Wars Culture!
