With a commission in naval aviation, William E. Johnson was stationed in the Boston area, where he became enchanted with the history of the region. Since that time, he has acted as John Hancock in community theater productions of 1776, making him realize the story should be told from the perspective of common colonial men and women. The Founding Fathers affected us all, both collectively and individually. He is single and resides in Latrobe, PA where he owns an OSHA/Safety consulting firm. In addition, he speaks professionally in the character of John Hancock for various organizations and companies nationwide. His novels in what have been called the "Snug Harbor Tavern Series" are: "Snug Harbor Tavern: Shaggin’ for a Shillin’", "The Seeds of Love and War: Still Shaggin’ for a Shillin’", "Tea and Tyranny: Still Shaggin’ in Boston", and "Tyranny and Defiance". The characters in the fifth novel of the series, "Defiance and Independence", can’t wait to share their adventures.
