Tales of Rhyme: Phoenix Blood

For six years, the orphaned Kumori has toiled at the small business he inherited from his father in the slums of the desert city-state of Caryuva. One fateful night, he is visited by a flirtatious stranger in disguise, who warns of a dangerous cult of dark sorcerers hunting for Kumori’s blood: the Phoenix Blood.

And they’ve found him. Having lost everything but the sword on his hip, Kumori flees his home under the guidance of his mysterious protector. Despite saving Kumori’s life, the stranger is woefully secretive about all... except his infatuation for our hero.

The endless desert wastes of Morokaai hide many secrets indeed, just as the Blood in Kumori’s veins. Together with his new companion, Kumori must face his inner self as he quests to uncover the truth of his past, and to stifle the Age-ending threat of the shadowy foe known only as the Ancient One.
