In 1913, Leo M. Frank was an Atlanta sweatshop boss who routinely took sexual advantage of young girls in his employ. He raped and strangled 13-year-old little Mary Phagan to death. The first edition was published in 1987, and this new edition is greatly revised and expanded, more than twice as large as the first, with vastly more footnotes, references, and copies of original documents. It is the product of a half century of research, and it is a labor of love.
