My name is Adeline Peters. I’m 35 years old, recently divorced, unemployed, and trying to pick up the pieces of my shattered world.

My life hasn’t been easy, but I’m fighting to put it back together. I bought a new house, made new friends, hell - I’ve even fallen in love again, but now...I can’t enjoy it. I can’t enjoy my new life because it’s not safe.

My life is now a literal nightmare, a roller-coaster of death, destruction and violence that I can’t stop. I’m being hunted by a man who is the human epitome of the devil, and the lives of everyone I know are on the line. Worse, I’m being forced to play God and determine whose life I’m saving and whose life I’m sacrificing.

And all because I decided to start over and fell in love with my new neighbour. A neighbour with a dark and secretive past that has come back to haunt us both.
