Told through the eyes of someone who has been there and done it (and got the famous purple/green Wimbledon striped tie to prove it!) from inside the modern professional tennis world, witnessing the sublime and the ridiculous of household name players, coaches and personalities.

Sometimes the questionable demands of professional sport get in the way of the author’s unbridled ＂love of the game＂, and so, on occasion, he passes critical and amusing comment on these frustrations from his unique position of authority. He pokes fun at the stuffy, has high regard for the honest, hard-working triers, and never believes the inflated hype of the self-fulfilling publicity machines.
