1981, the United Kingdom is in crisis.
Inflation, strikes, debt, unemployment, riots and a dirty war in Northern Ireland - The Troubles.
Out of his personal grief, Thomas Kelly joins a peace movement attempting to change the direction of Northern Ireland. But as this peace movement falls apart, Thomas feels compelled to continue the cause, taking his message around the country. Almost by accident, he finds himself fronting a movement of his own - Prayers for Peace.
From humble beginnings, support from both the Catholic and Protestant communities grows with each gathering. Tens of thousands of people desperate for reconciliation and harmony come to hear Thomas and pray with him.
But the consequences of peace are not welcomed by all. Certain factions will conspire to thwart Thomas’s endeavours. Dangerous factions.
Can Thomas stop the decline, the hatred and the bloodshed in Northern Ireland, or will his conspirators triumph?
